Mi-Tech is a full‑service engineering, design, and construction services firm that supports utility and infrastructure projects with a focus on cost efficiency and long‑term value.

In this role you will conduct field explorations, collect samples, perform geologic reconnaissance and mapping, and prepare field reports. You will organize laboratory data, execute or review limited soil index property laboratory testing, and interpret data to create geological subsurface logs, profiles, design cross‑sections, and assist in preparing design reports.

• Interpret data to prepare geological subsurface logs, profiles, design cross‑sections, and assist in design report preparation.

• BS or MS degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.
• Minimum two years of geology field experience, including soil sampling per USCS standards and some laboratory testing experience.
• Preparation or eligibility to take the Professional Geologist examination.
• Experience interpreting soil and rock samples for geotechnical engineering, including soil classification.
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel (required); RSLog or similar geotechnical borehole logging software (preferred); MS Access (desirable).
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; willingness and ability to travel nationwide for project needs.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and carry 50+ pounds in all weather on uneven terrain.
