Civil Structural Designer

C&I Engineering is looking for a talented and driven individual to join our team!

This position requires relocation to Salt Lake City, Utah.

We are currently seeking a full-time Civil Structural Designer to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Civil/Structural team, which is responsible for developing designs for structural layouts in facilities such as refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.

• Prepare design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations.
• Identify and obtain information needed from and by other departments for coordination purposes.
• Use software to develop 3D models of structures used in industrial facilities.
• Prepare structural steel and reinforced concrete design drawings.
• Work with other departments to ensure the project is completed.
• Communicate with engineers to coordinate plans.
• Read documents, specifications, reports, and other materials to ensure work is accurate.

• 2-year technical degree with a specialization in computer-aided drafting and design.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
