Field Service Engineer II

Overview

Bio-Rad is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Utah to perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on our Life Science instruments for customers in hospitals and laboratories. As a Field Service Engineer, you may also be asked to travel on short notice to support other team members within the region.

• Performing repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad's instruments, ensuring the quality performance of our instruments for customers who are working to advance the future of healthcare.
• Supporting and maintaining Bio-Rad instruments on which our customers rely to make scientific breakthroughs, helping to advance healthcare research and treatments.
• Building and sustaining strong relationships to anticipate and advocate for customers  needs.
• Adhering to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements with detailed record keeping and service documentation to protect Bio-Rad s integrity and reputation in the industry.

• At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
• Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
• Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.

• Hands on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments.

This position covers the Salt Lake City, UT area. The individual must live within a geography that allows them to visit customers on-site on a daily basis.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $31.20 to $42.88 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
