We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of complex enclosures and housings for diagnostic medical devices; you’ll touch every part of the development process from concept through to production.
Job Description- Interpret customer requirements, technical specifications, and applicable industry standards to define design inputs and constraints
- Design & prototype complex rugged enclosures and housings
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
- Communicate with international and domestic vendors to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing & cost (DFM).
- Lead prototype builds
- Facilitate design transfer to our onsite and international production sites
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
- Advanced knowledge of Solidworks, including surfacing techniques
- Advanced knowledge of a variety of manufacturing techniques: injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, MIM, 3D printing, composites
- Design of products which balance complex considerations such as thermal, EMI, ingress protection, ergonomics, aesthetics
- A solid understanding of GD&T
Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of related experience
