Position SummaryLynk Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing electrical team. In this role, you will lead the design and execution of complex electrical engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions for our clients.
This position is responsible for the consulting, engineering, and design of electrical systems for a wide variety of projects, including healthcare, higher education, commercial, hospitality, multifamily, municipal, industrial, retail, religious, and mission‑critical facilities. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, low‑voltage, and medium‑voltage systems, along with demonstrated project leadership experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

- Lead the design and analysis of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, low‑voltage, and medium‑voltage systems for a variety of building types.
- Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, technical specifications, and construction documents in accordance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Select and specify electrical equipment, including transformers, switch gear, generators, panel boards, lighting controls, and related electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, IEEE, International Building Code (IBC), energy codes, and other applicable standards.
- Serve as the lead electrical engineer on assigned projects, coordinating with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review and approve drawings, submittals, RFIs, and construction documents to maintain quality, accuracy, and constructability.
- Conduct site visits and construction observations to evaluate installation progress and resolve design challenges.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of electrical designs, calculations, and construction documents.
- Mentor and support the development of engineers, designers, and EITs while promoting engineering best practices.
- Incorporate energy‑efficient, sustainable, and innovative design solutions into project designs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and develop customized electrical engineering solutions.
- Assist with proposal development by preparing technical scopes, fee estimates, schedules, and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, electrical codes, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
