We are seeking a CADD Technician II to support gas distribution and pipeline projects by preparing piping, mechanical fabrication, and civil design drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Civil 3D, and utility or pipeline drafting environments
, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, surveys, and as-built documentation.
- Prepare simple to intermediate level piping/mechanical fabrication drawings, civil site and grading plans, and pipeline alignment/profile drawings for gas distribution projects.
- Develop construction drawings for gate stations, meter and regulator stations, and related pipeline facilities.
- Coordinate assigned projects and provide drawing reviews and project status updates.
- Support internal and external customers by providing facility drawings, pipeline data, and mapping information.
- Perform research on existing facilities and gather data required for modifications and upgrades.
- Provide facility information to engineering teams, construction personnel, government agencies, Blue Stakes, and external engineering firms.
- Interpret field notes, surveys, and as-built documentation to update design drawings.
- Travel to company facilities and project sites as needed to collect field information and verify existing conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation while meeting project deadlines and company standards.
- Associate degree or certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
- 0–2+ years of professional drafting/design experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in computer-aided drafting principles.
- Ability to read and interpret facility drawings, alignment sheets, and survey information.
- Understanding of basic mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
. - Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Knowledge of gas distribution, pipeline facilities, rights-of-way, and surveying principles.
- Basic understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Occasional overtime, weekends, or holiday work may be required to meet project schedules.
- Frequent computer and keyboard usage for drafting activities.
- Field visits with occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk on uneven or steep terrain.
