Scope of Position:
The Project Engineer is responsible for providing and integrating innovative and cost-effective engineering design in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards for all phases of the process engineering work in a multi-discipline team approach, along with leadership and mentorship opportunities. Project Engineers are actively involved in team approach and make recommendations to deliver integrated process/systems as specified and contracted.

Education & Years of

Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of industry related experience.

Qualifications:

PE license preferred or desire to obtain PE license Experience and/or knowledge with standard process equipment in terms of operation and applications: pumps, piping, valves, tanks, heat exchangers, filtration, etc. Experience and/or knowledge with the following utility operations and functions: boilers, compressed air, water treatment, ammonia and glycol refrigeration, wastewater, CIP/SIP systems, cooling towers, furnaces, etc. Knowledge of engineering role in equipment procurement (data sheets, specifications, bid packages, technical bid evaluations, etc.).

Strong analytical and problem-solving individual should be able to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. Knowledge of vendor qualification, procurement and administrative practices. Proficient in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Smart P&IDs preferred. Motivated, self-starter with the desire to continue to learn and take leadership roles in projects.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.

The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
