Design and develop machines, tools, equipment, and systems with mechanical and electrical parts. Conduct product testing and createmodels and prototypes. Responsibilities- Conducts highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensivelatitude for independent judgment.
- Recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional.
- EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience(Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
- Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
- Electro-Mechanical Engineer, II: Requires abachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
- Electro-Mechanical Engineer, III: Requires abachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
- Electro-Mechanical Engineer, IV: Requires abachelor's (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with 3‑D printing.
- Working knowledge of standard testing equipment.
- Requires a bachelor's degree and may have an advanced degree,certification, or additional professional training.
- Requires specialized skill set.

Summary:
On site. Monday – Friday duringlaboratory hours 7am – 4pm OR by special schedule agreement.
Schedule to be determined with the final candidate in congruencewith academic lab schedules and staffing needs.

Pay Rate Range: 50000 - 65000
