Job Title
Pay Range: $50.19hr - $55.19hr
Requirement/Must Have:- Place and route components ensuring that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design.
- Ensure that all requirements for manufacturing and assembly are met.
- Develop and generate drawings and documentation to facilitate PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Rework PCB designs when engineering design changes occur and assist the design team with ideas to resolve issues.
- Perform drawing and documentation updates per the instructions of engineering change requests.
- Create component ECAD library footprints and/or schematic symbols as required for design projects.
- Design and create printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for circuit card assemblies (CCAs) based on inputs and feedback received from design engineers (electrical, mechanical) and manufacturing process engineers (MPEs).
- Place components within a given size envelope.
- Route metal traces between parts.
- Hold milestone reviews with stakeholders.
- Release PCB & CCA drawings.
- Multiple years of experience in PCB design or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB design.
- An associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or an IPC CID certification is desired.
- A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is also beneficial.
- Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment.
- Specific experience with Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Xpedition software is desired.
- Competent experience and knowledge of PCB design technologies, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics, PCB fabrication and assembly drawings is desired.
- Practical knowledge of industry standards, such as IPC for design (including design for manufacturability) and ASME/ANSI for documentation, is desired.
- Specific relevant IPC standards include IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610.
- IT experience to help with backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and 2+ years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of prior related experience.
