As a Specialist, Systems Engineering, you will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and technical analyses that help translate customer needs into reliable total-system solutions. This role has a strong systems verification engineering focus and contributes across the system lifecycle—from concept and design through integration, test, operation, and sustainment.

Essential Functions:
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Support systems engineering activities across concept development, design, fabrication, integration, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Translate customer and product requirements into total-system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, cost, and operational constraints.
- Develop, derive, analyze, allocate, and trace system and subsystem requirements through verification evidence.
- Define verification approaches, methods, procedures, test cases, and objective evidence using test, analysis, inspection, and demonstration.
- Plan and support integration and test activities to demonstrate that hardware, software, interfaces, and external systems work together as intended.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation, interface-definition studies, and detailed trade studies.
- Support development and maintenance of system requirements, interfaces, specifications, technical baselines, and change-impact assessments.
- Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, support root-cause investigations, and help drive closure of verification issues.
- Apply model-based systems engineering practices to develop and maintain system architecture, behavior, interface, requirements, and verification models.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and contribute to mitigation planning and technical decision-making.
- Communicate system engineering processes, verification status, technical issues, and recommendations with internal teams and, as needed, customers and external stakeholders.
- Recommend practical enhancements to systems engineering, integration, verification, and test processes.
- Provide guidance, coaching, or training to other employees within the job area assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional
Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, functional analysis, integration, verification, and validation.
- Experience supporting hardware and software integration and test activities.
- Experience developing or maintaining requirements, verification plans, test procedures, traceability, or verification evidence.
- Practical knowledge of project execution, technical risk management, and system lifecycle processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaborative working skills.
- Ability to work under general supervision while taking Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance if needed.
