This job requires connecting with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner. Persuasive communication to engage others in the work process is important. The role demands an extreme sense of urgency, attention to detail, and adherence to company standards and policies. A strong sense of duty and responsibility for completing work quickly and correctly is required. A faster-than-average work pace is necessary, with thorough follow-up of delegated tasks.
Decision making is collaborative but guided by established policy. The ability to persuade, train, and motivate a team is valued; change is common and approached with management support.
As a Commercial and Specialty Banking Relationship Manager II, you will:
- Ensure the overall success and growth of an assigned portfolio by deepening existing client relationships and acquiring new clients.
- Cross-sell lending, depository, and Treasury Management products to clients.
- Review clients’ credit needs, design solutions, negotiate credit terms, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications.
- Manage the portfolio and monitor client relationships for compliance with credit standards; update financials; maintain insurance on bank collateral; review loans for accurate grades.
- Handle relationships with credit exposure greater than $2 million and fee income over $25,000.
- Provide financial advice and counsel regarding business environment trends and banking trends to clients and prospects.
- Review loan documents for compliance with Loan Policy and banking laws, regulations; maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations including safety, consumer protection, privacy and non-discrimination.
- Build rapport with clients and colleagues and treat others with respect and consideration.
- Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies (including BSA/OFAC).
Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or a combination of education and work experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Good managerial, communication and sales skills.
Desired Qualifications: To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some of the following qualifications:
- MBA or master’s degree in business, finance or related field, or combination of education and work experience.
- 7+ years of Commercial or Specialty experience.
- 7+ years of commercial credit experience.
- Completed formal credit training program.
- Strong communication and sales skills.

- Self-directed and motivated to accomplish tasks and meet objectives.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
