Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

We are seeking a high-caliber Contract Controller to lead the financial operations for a dynamic niche product manufacturer and distributor. This role is critical in maintaining financial integrity during a period of transition. You will oversee all accounting functions, ensure rigorous internal controls, and provide the executive team with the data-driven insights necessary to optimize our manufacturing and distribution pipelines.

• Financial Oversight: Direct all accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Cost Accounting: Maintain and improve standard costing systems for manufacturing processes; analyze variances (labor, material, and overhead) to drive operational efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes across multiple distribution centers; manage obsolescence reserves and valuation.
• Reporting & Compliance: Lead the month-end and year-end close process. Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and provide monthly variance analysis against budget/forecast.
• Treasury & Cash Flow: Manage daily cash positioning and provide weekly 13-week cash flow forecasts, particularly important in the capital-intensive automotive sector.
• Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure all tax filings (Sales/Use, Property, Federal) are accurate and timely.
