WhatYou’ll Do
As a Sr. Finance Director, Manufacturing Operations you will serve as the strategic finance leader of manufacturing, supply chain and operational performance across assigned facilities. You will be responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision‑making for leaders in manufacturing operations and throughout the business. Other duties include:
- Ensures compliance with financial regulations and optimizes the organization’s financial performance to align with its long‑term goals.
- Serve as senior finance business partner to Manufacturing Operations leadership, providing strategic financial direction and leading tactical performance.
- Drive plant‑level financial performance, including cost control, absorption, inventory management, working capital optimization and margin improvement.
- Design and maintain financial KPIs, management reporting and results review meetings that provide insightful analysis of performance results, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actionable discussion.
- Work collaboratively with managers to establish aggressive budgets.
- Coordinate and provide structure for the monthly, quarterly, and annual earnings results reporting, budget development and forecast outlook updates.
- Ability to build collaborative cross‑functional working relationships, influence, and gain acceptance of ideas from senior executives.
- Professional interpersonal and communication skills supporting regular interaction and communication with senior executives and submissions to the Board.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership, supporting organizational growth and long‑term planning.
- Build financially sound business cases for product development and investments in technology.
- Model Financial impacts of supply, manufacturing and commercial decisions.
- Support product management, marketing and technology development leaders with budget reporting and tracking.
- Provide transparency into performance drivers and translate complex financial data into actionable operational insights.
- Lead and develop a geographically dispersed finance team supporting plant operations leaders.
- B.S. degree with major in finance or accounting and advanced degree required (MBA, CPA or CMA).
- 10+ years of progressively increasing financial and management responsibilities including extensive leadership experience in managing multi‑national teams of manager‑level direct reports to accomplish company goals.
- Experience with in finance for large enterprises and extensive interaction with senior‑level management.
- Technical:
Advanced proficiency required in the following systems:
Excel, PowerPoint, SAP (COPA and PCA), BW Analysis, Host Analytics, Salesforce, Qlik. - Advanced skills in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Ability to lead and manage cross‑functional projects with a proven track record of success.
- Professional written, presentation and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines.
