Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager - London
Top 10 City accountancy firm is seeking an Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join its London offices. You will oversee statutory compliance and provide accounting support for a diverse portfolio of medium and large companies across multiple industries, including consumer, technology, financial services, and private equity-backed businesses. Working closely with Partners and Directors, you will act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and delivering high‑quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring a premium service while identifying opportunities to contribute to the growth and development of the department.
- Provide advisory and accounting support to clients, including assisting them through the audit process.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS
102, FRS
101, and Companies Act reporting requirements. - Manage project budgets, working capital, billing, and debt recovery to ensure engagements run efficiently and within agreed parameters.
- Lead, mentor, and manage team members within the Accounting & Financial Reporting function, setting objectives and supporting professional development.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least three years PQE managing client portfolios.
- Commercial or industry finance experience is desirable.
- Proven experience supervising and coaching junior staff.
- Strong technical understanding of UK financial reporting standards, IFRS, FRS
102, and Companies Act requirements. - Experienced with professional accounts preparation software
- Confident, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.
