Position Overview

The Portfolio Finance Manager is an exciting opportunity to develop a new function at rPlus Energies. This role is responsible for project finance debt and tax equity compliance from financial closing through construction and operations. Responsibilities include overseeing loan draws, leading the term conversion process, managing tax equity fundings and ongoing compliance, coordinating with lenders and tax equity investors for all consents, amendments and waivers.

The Portfolio Finance Manager will also support corporate debt compliance and ongoing reporting.

This dynamic role requires close collaboration across all company functions to ensure rPlus Energies meets its obligations to lenders, tax equity investors, and commercial partners. This position will report to the Head of Capital Markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage loan draw processes and project-level debt compliance during construction and operations.
  • Oversee lender coordination, ensuring timely and accurate fundings, term conversions, and compliance with financing agreements.
  • Manage all obligations associated with tax equity fundings, including scheduling and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate amendments, consents, and restructurings with financial partners, providing feedback to achieve commercially favorable outcomes.
  • Work with Finance, Asset Management, and Accounting to document all project company obligations in financing agreements.
  • Input and maintain covenants and reporting requirements within the contract workflow management system.
  • Provide oversight of routine and ad hoc reporting to debt and equity investors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support budgeting, audit processes, and financial statement reporting for project companies in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Monitor project-level tax compliance in coordination with tax, accounting, and legal teams (e.g., sales & use, property taxes).
  • Manage compliance and reporting requirements for the corporate debt facility in partnership with the Corporate Finance team.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with capital providers and internal stakeholders across functions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of5 years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, project finance, and/or portfolio finance—ideally within the U.S. renewable energy industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with project financings and financial closings, including tax equity and debt transactions.
  • Strong understanding of how financing terms impact project economics and business strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
