Commercial Loan Officer

Utah First Credit Union is seeking to add a full-time, 40-hour-a-week Commercial Loan Officer to our team at our Salt Lake City Corporate office. This individual provides exceptional service and strives to improve our customers' financial lives by cross-selling products and services as well as producing loans. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

We pay our Commercial Loan Officer a competitive salary based on experience plus incentives. • Proactively solicits new commercial business and promotes Credit Union products and services to meet established quality and production goals.
• Develops and maintains a strong knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products and services.
• Analyzes financial and credit data, computes debt ratios, verifies income, determines client financing objectives, advises clients of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gathers any additional required information. Accurately calculates terms, finance charges, and insurance on loans.
• Presents appropriate Credit Union products and programs to prospective borrowers, explaining the guidelines and parameters of each. Apprises borrowers of options and rates. Collects all supporting loan documentation as necessary and provides a complete package for underwriting.
• Counsels business clients regarding money management, related financial goals, and lending objectives.
• Actively pursues and nurtures productive, loyal, long-term business relationships with clients, dealers, realtors, contractors, builders, and brokers.
• To perform this job successfully, the candidate should have a strong knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft, Word, Excel, and loan spread software.

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, formal training, and experience. Experience in the commercial lending field required. Analytic mindset and attention to detail.
