Job Description

Get in on the “ground floor” of building a de novo bank and setting the foundation of the bank’s Compliance Team! The Bank’s Compliance Team is a crucial component of the second line of defense in the Bank’s risk management framework. As a Compliance Analyst (Monitoring and Testing), you will perform monitoring and testing activities, prepare documentation demonstrating effectiveness, collaborate with leaders across the organization, and drive continuous improvement in our compliance posture.

In this position, the Compliance Analyst will act as an important member of the compliance team, performing monitoring and testing activities, preparing documentation that demonstrates the effectiveness of the results, collaborating with leaders and colleagues, and addressing emerging regulatory challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Work and coordinate with the Compliance Officer.
  • Evaluate and interpret complex legal, regulatory and policy requirements applicable to the tested area.
  • Assess and evaluate processes and data to determine that business operations comply with legal, compliance and policy requirements, including those intended to prevent unethical and illegal conduct.
  • Communicate compliance testing results, findings and conclusions to multiple levels of management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare documentation for regulatory authorities as needed.
Qualifications

What You’ll Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university required. An advanced degree in banking or a related field is not required but complementary.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing and/or auditing within banking or financial services, preferably within a compliance or risk team.
  • Strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and manipulation of data through MS Excel, GRC Platforms, banking or financial services platforms.
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Even Better, you may have:

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex regulations and translate them into a test approach for determining regulatory adherence.
  • Experience in monitoring, testing and evaluating legal, regulatory and policy requirements against business processes and data, and interpreting results for risk‑based improvement opportunities.
  • Understanding of the three‑lines‑of‑defense concept in banking and the ability to communicate these principles to business colleagues.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems.
  • A forward‑thinking mindset with the ability to identify and develop innovative solutions, including AI to enhance compliance processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of drafting clear analyses, findings and reports.
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct and sound judgment.
  • A proactive and solutions‑oriented approach.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $94,800–$166,200.
