Overview
The Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP are seeking Associates to join our Debt Finance Practice Group. We focus on representing private equity funds and other corporate borrowers in debt capital markets transactions, including secured and unsecured financing, acquisition financings, and loan workouts.
We are recognized for outstanding client service and market leadership in the debt finance space, with a global client base and a track record of handling a high volume of borrower transactions.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Candidates should have 2–6 years of experience in structuring, documentation and negotiation of secured and unsecured financing transactions for both borrowers and lenders, including senior secured, mezzanine and subordinated debt transactions; acquisition financings; and loan workouts.
- Preferred: leveraged finance experience, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic market insight, operational support, and skill in advising and executing complex debt capital markets transactions.
Salary range for this position is between $235,000 and $390,000. Compensation is based on the role, responsibilities, experience, and education, and aligned with internal pay equity within Kirkland & Ellis LLP. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
