Responsibilities
- Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice regarding financial solutions.
- Collaborates with branch teams and BMO partners across channels to deliver a cohesive customer experience and achieve business objectives.
- Guides customers in the lobby, offering information on digital and self‑serve options to simplify banking.
- Meets transaction‑based needs with seamless execution and conducts client conversations regarding banking services.
- Engages customers in needs‑based discussions to identify opportunities for personal banking, investment advice, and credit card solutions.
- Supports operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, processing applications, and filing.
- Probes for personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions into conversations.
- Organizes work information for accuracy, maintains data integrity, and drives continuous improvement of the customer experience.
- Adheres to risk and compliance processes, safeguarding customer assets and privacy while complying with regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes issues, determines next steps, escalates when necessary, and collaborates with the branch and market team.
- Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- For Canada only:
Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months). - Proficiency with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport, and excellent listening and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Resourceful self‑starter with confidence to approach customers and collaborate in a team environment.
- Salary range: $41,714.00 – $50,000.00 (Salaried position).
- Commission structure may apply; commissions are based on first‑year target.
