Position Summary

This is a part-time Mortgage Loan Originator position (up to 30 hours per week) responsible for originating residential mortgage loans from inbound live clients within the CRM.

You'll work closely with borrowers to achieve both refinance and home purchase objectives. We’re looking for team members that will handle every transaction professionally, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans in accordance with bank policy and applicable regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients provided by the bank.
• Consult with borrowers to determine the best financing solutions.
• Guide customers through the mortgage application process from initial consultation to closing.
• Communicate proactively with all parties throughout the transaction.
• Work collaboratively with processing and underwriting teams to facilitate timely closings.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state lending regulations and internal bank policies.
• Represent Direct Wholesale Rates by SNB Bank with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of mortgage origination experience preferred.
• Current NMLS license
• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage products and underwriting fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up and time management abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable using mortgage technology, CRM systems, and standard office software.
• Working knowledge of mortgage regulations including SAFE Act, RESPA, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, Fair Housing, and related compliance requirements.

Schedule

Part-time position not to exceed 30 paid hours per week. Hours may vary based on customer appointments, business needs, and loan activity.

Compensation

Competitive hourly draw plus commission in accordance with the approved compensation plan and applicable banking regulations.

This position must be performed in accordance with all applicable federal and state mortgage lending laws, CFPB regulations, investor guidelines, and the policies and procedures of SNB Bank, N.A.
