Operations Analyst

Russell Tobin is seeking a highly organized and analytical Financial Operations Analyst to support a global operations team within the capital markets environment. This role focuses on collateral operations, risk mitigation, process improvement, and supporting complex financial products and workflows.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving abilities, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams including Risk, Legal, Compliance, Trading, Sales, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support financial operations activities related to collateral management and risk mitigation
• Monitor and manage collateral processes across clearing houses and financial products
• Assist with the development, implementation, and improvement of operational workflows
• Support the calculation and settlement of interest payments and collateral obligations
• Manage and analyze client cash collateral processes
• Review operational data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently
• Partner with internal teams including Credit Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Trading, Risk Management, and Operations
• Ensure processes are completed accurately while meeting deadlines and client requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and strengthen controls
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and operational records
• Provide high-quality internal and client support in a fast-paced environment
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred
• Experience in financial operations, banking operations, capital markets, risk, collateral, or related environments preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues quickly
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong client service mindset
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
