Role Overview

FX Operations is primarily responsible for booking and settling trades and ensuring the accuracy of books and records for FX clients. The team focuses on process efficiency, controls, risk management, and delivering commercial solutions that meet client needs without compromising risk and control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with counter parties and Client Services teams within the Securities Division to process trades and exchange cash movements.
  • Investigate client queries and identify solutions to daily operational issues.
  • Investigate exceptions in internal books and records and identify appropriate resolutions.
  • Escalate issues as necessary.
  • Work closely with Treasury Operations on cash settlement activities.
  • Help remove client lockups and mitigate the impact of large client transfers on firm funding projections.
  • Analyze and improve processes and procedures to reduce risk and eliminate repetitive work.
  • Influence client behavior to achieve strong operational and client-service outcomes.
  • Manage smaller projects and initiatives and help implement process improvements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Comfortable presenting complex information in a structured and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple processing deadlines throughout the day.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong risk awareness and control-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated drive to implement process improvements and challenge inefficiencies.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage smaller projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to influence others and implement change in a consensus-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven, hands-on experience with FX.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Pivot tables
    • Lookup functions
    • General data analysis
  • VBA coding experience is a plus.
  • Excel/Outlook macro experience is a plus.
