Intern- Quantitative Modeling Analyst

Zions has an excellent opportunity available for a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern to join our Corporate Quantitative Analytics group responsible for model development.

Key responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Assist in the design and development of statistical/machine learning models to support various initiatives utilizing predictive modeling
• Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models
• Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results
• Write documentation that explains the process used in developing models
• Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results
• Help prepare presentations for senior management

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with one or more of the following statistical software tools:
  Python, SQL, R, SAS
• Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, as well as machine learning
• Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus.
• Proficiency in working with large data sets is a plus.
• Experience with technologies such Google Cloud Platform, GPUs, and Git is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and ableto meet deadlines.
