Job SummaryGrants and Contracts Officer
The Department of Neurology is seeking a Grants and Contracts Officer to facilitate the grant process, pre- and post-award. Coordinate research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process, ensuring deadlines are met. Process grant reconciliations, maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations.
This position provides complex administrative support for Various Principal Investigators and their labs. The desirable candidate will have demonstrated a strong organizational capacity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance priorities while ensuring follow-through with a diverse set of responsibilities.
This position will be primarily remote with occasional days in the office.

Coordinate cross-departmentally to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process ensuring deadlines are met. Process grant reconciliations, maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
This is a Career-Level position in the General Professional track.

- Familiar with University pre-award systems, processes and policies required for a successful submission.
- Familiar with University post-award systems including management reports, university chart fields/account codes, Djobs, ePAR.
- Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job-related training and on-the-job experience.
