Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
AZAD is seeking an Angiographer for a W2 Contract position in Murray, Utah.
Schedule: 4 10's schedule with On-Call duties.
Assignment Duration: The initial assignment length is 13-weeks with a probability of being extended.
Compensation & Benefits: The hourly compensation pay rate range is between $36.00 - $40.00, plus daily non-taxed stipends, $142 Lodging and $80 Meals & Incidentals (non-local candidates). Local candidates' hourly compensation pay rate range is between $57.00 - $62.00. Benefits include Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and 401k.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Prepares patients for exam using appropriate body mechanics.
- Identifies proper exams based on patient need and utilizes correct exam techniques.
- Produces quality images through the appropriate operation of equipment/instrumentation.
- Follows proper patient identification protocols.
- Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
- Maintains work area and stocks needed supplies.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Develops specific knowledge with regard to invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
- At the end of the procedure, may apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
- Understands and applies principles of x-ray generation and safety.
- Understands and demonstrates the correct operation of imaging equipment.
- Provides patient education, as needed and assures patient comfort.
- Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
- AART Registration
- State of Utah Rad Tech License
- MUST have Vascular / Interventional radiography certification - or 1 year of Angio / Interventional experience
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- High school Diploma or GED
- ACLS or PALS Certified
