Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate and talented Outpatient Therapist
Shifts:
Per Diem - Weekdays and Evenings with some Virtual requirements
The Outpatient Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. The role includes providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. The Outpatient Therapist will manage a set caseload, provide mental health/chemical dependency treatment in a group setting, complete individualized treatment plans, and coordinate continuing care/discharge planning.
The therapist works with the treatment team and multidisciplinary team.

- Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field required.
- Experience: 2 years in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills. 2 years in dual diagnosis and substance use disorder treatment.
- License: CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, AMFT, LMFT with the state of Utah.
- Additional Requirements: CPR certification required. Must complete current training for restraints and seclusions prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within 90 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours.
