Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Echo/Vascular Tech, you will work with a team that considers themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
- You will, under the direction of the Manager, be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra-operative echocardiograms within the inpatient, outpatient, or intraoperative settings.
- You will provide physicians with complete, accurate anatomical and functional diagnostic information.
- You will accurately prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with all tests that have been ordered by physicians.
- You will follow established surveillance, prevention and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.
- You will expertly perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned specialty service areas utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical practice standards, hospital guidelines and protocols.
- You will, with proper training and knowledge of other functions within the cardiology services, may perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and/or operational tasks that manifest a teamwork environment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- Must have Cardiac Sonography experience
