The Type of Medication Technician We're Looking For- Current Caregiver Certification
- Ability to complete required training
- Strong communication skills
- Physical mobility, including lifting, transferring, standing, walking
- Patience
- Empathy
- Deep appreciation for working with seniors - especially those navigating dementia
As our Medication Technician, you'll operate at the heart of resident care, supporting wellness, safety, and comfort.
Daily Responsibilities- Administer medications (oral, liquids, inhalers, topical, drops)
- Assist with simple dressing changes
- Perform basic skin care and help with bathing if needed
- Maintain dignity, privacy, and resident rights
- Document services and note condition changes
- Ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support residents with daily needs while encouraging independence
- Follow Western States Senior Communities' hygiene and appearance standards
- Complete tasks assigned by a Licensed Nurse
