- Coordinates procurement of complex, special orders, supplies and equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on and troubleshoots problems for existing equipment.
- Researches new purchases and coordinates contract negotiations for items purchased.
- Audits inventory levels and makes cost‑effective, quality recommendations.
- Acts as liaison between vendors, managers and a variety of departments to ensure quality and price issues are addressed.
- Develops, maintains and updates reports and documents relating to equipment and supplies.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
- May train and provide work direction for other employees.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
- Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
- Ability to provide detailed analysis.
- Ability to make recommendations and implement ideas.
- Ability to identify problems and find appropriate solutions.
- Ability to implement JIT (Just in Time) inventory practices.
- Ability to be on‑call 24/7.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Business, a related field, or the equivalency.
- Two (2) years of materials management experience.
- Warehouse inventory management experience.
- Able to work alone.
- Forklift certified.
- Knowledge of various inventory management systems.
- Leadership experience.

- This position involves very physical work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. The position may involve moving heavy equipment and/or supplies.
