This is a full-time, on-site Radiation Therapist position with University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City, UT. The Radiation Therapist will deliver accurate and high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. They will operate and maintain radiation equipment, review treatment plans, perform necessary imaging procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the therapy process.
This role requires compliance with all safety and quality assurance standards, as well as effective communication with both patients and healthcare providers.
- Expertise in operating radiation therapy equipment and implementing treatment plans
- Proficiency in imaging techniques, such as CT simulation or other diagnostic imaging methods
- Knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance standards, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient care and coordination with medical teams
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Minimum educational requirement:
Associate’s Degree in Radiation Therapy;
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred - Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required
- Previous experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting is a plus
