A Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients in a healthcare facility. They are responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth front-office operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and medical records.
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and medical staff.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception and waiting area.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic computer and administrative skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
Working Conditions
  • May involve sitting for long periods and frequent interaction with patients.
  • Standard office hours with possible evening or weekend shifts depending on facility.
