Job Description # Scrum Master - KSSOW 26012 - DWS - DTS - Department of Government Operations
-Apex is seeking an experienced
** SAFe Scrum Master
** to support one or more Agile teams operating within an Agile Release Train (ART). This role serves as a
** servant leader and Agile coach**, ensuring teams effectively apply Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices to deliver high‑quality value Scrum Master will facilitate team ceremonies, remove impediments, improve flow, and drive continuous improvement across teams and program‑level activities.
* Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a SAFe environment
* Strong knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, Agile, and Lean principles
* Hands‑on experience working within Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
* Demonstrated ability to coach teams and leaders in Agile practices
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills
* Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Rally, etc.)
* ** SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
** certification* Experience supporting enterprise‑scale Agile transformations
* Background in software development, QA, Dev Ops, or product management
* Experience working in distributed or multi‑team Agile environments
* Additional SAFe certifications (SA, SPC, RTE)
* Servant leadership mindset
* Agile & Lean coaching expertise
* Ability to facilitate large‑scale Agile events
* Strong dependency and risk management capabilities
* Systems thinking and organizational awareness
* Metrics‑focused continuous improvement
* Change leadership in evolving environments
