Experienced UX designer specializing in best practices related to web application usability and design layouts. Will be responsible for the user experience of our custom application and digital platforms. This includes conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with developers and project managers to deliver intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Support UX trade studies related to business product offerings and promote consistent look and feel across our custom applications.
Responsible for UX governance ensuring applications are familiar and easy to use.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centered design methodologies, and passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
- Lead efforts and guide software development team to help design quality User Experiences
- Brainstorm user interface designs with project teams
- Mockup user interface designs for project team review
- Create interactive prototypes to represent the final product
- Conduct usability research on prototypes and software applications and provide results/recommendations
- Prepare UX documentation (navigational flows, wire frames, use cases, task flows, etc.) to be used by the project team.
- Create website and application graphics
- Design and Develop UI front end code using HTML/CSS
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 5+ years of experience with UX design related to web application development
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, Java script)
- Experience with data visualization and analytics
- Understanding of User Interface trends and patterns
- Graphic Design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
- Team-player, quick learner, proactive, and positive attitude
- Have a passion for and an understanding of the importance of a good User Experience
- Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery a plus
- Must be prepared to show samples or a portfolio of past projects’ deliverables
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater
D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $99,500-$184,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $114,000-$212,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3
