Job Title: Director of Software Engineering & Business Systems

Location: Utah (onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $175K – $200K

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering & Business Systems to lead the execution, evolution, and optimization of our technology and business systems ecosystem. This role blends strong business acumen with technical credibility to drive results across software engineering, enterprise integrations, data platforms, and core business applications. You will lead teams through managers, partner closely with business leaders across the organization, and provide dotted-line leadership to business‑aligned information systems teams.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in multi‑hat environments, can translate strategy into execution, and ensures technical excellence without being the lead engineer.

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and planning, ensuring focus on the highest‑impact priorities
• Partner with executive leadership on technology and business systems strategy
• Drive delivery across software engineering, data platforms, integrations, and business systems
• Own execution metrics including KPIs, delivery timelines, and deployment schedules
• Strengthen software engineering foundations, improve maintainability, and reduce key‑person risk
• Lead enterprise integration strategy, ensuring integrations are visible, scalable, and deliberately architected
• Function as a primary liaison to business leaders, providing transparency into progress, risks, and outcomes
• Coordinate closely with Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment and operational excellence
• Drive vendor performance and ROI through effective contract negotiation and governance
• Coach and develop managers, build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and problem‑solving

• 10+ years of experience, including experience leading teams and other leaders
• Strong technical foundation across software engineering, data platforms, integrations, and enterprise systems
• Proven ability to work across domains and with various business stakeholders to drive technology initiatives and get results
• Excellent prioritization, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
