DevOps Database Assistant Vice President - iCapital

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain PostgreSQL and MongoDB clusters, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across production environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, Cloud Formation) to automate database provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce encryption, access controls, and compliance standards for data at rest and in transit.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and conduct capacity planning to meet SLAs and growth targets.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation for database and infrastructure events.

• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops and database administration, with deep expertise in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Proficient with AWS services (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM) and experience building secure, highly available architectures.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
• Solid understanding of database security best practices, backup/recovery strategies, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of guiding cross‑functional teams.
