Tech Support Specialist

Description We are looking for a Tech Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical assistance for end users in Salt Lake City, Utah. This Contract position focuses on delivering timely support for hardware, software, network connectivity, printers, and mobile devices while ensuring a reliable day-to-day technology experience. The role also contributes to documentation, user guidance, and ongoing maintenance activities that support operational stability.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver front-line technical support by diagnosing and resolving issues affecting desktops, business applications, printers, network access, and mobile equipment

- Set up, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and software to keep user workstations functioning effectively

- Record support activity thoroughly in the service desk system, including issue details, actions taken, and current status updates

- Route advanced or unresolved technical problems to appropriate higher-level IT teams and coordinate follow-through as needed

- Guide employees on standard technology practices and answer basic usage questions to improve day-to-day system adoption

- Create and revise support documentation, knowledge articles, and frequently asked questions to strengthen self-service resources

- Assist with planned technology rollouts, software updates, equipment deployments, and routine maintenance work

- Observe system behavior and recurring incident patterns, then communicate trends that may require broader corrective action
