PS Research Assistant/Analyst

Research analyst role for healthcare machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) research.

Primary duties:

• Data gathering, cleaning, and analysis of healthcare data from local and national databases to build ML and AI models.
• Implementation of real‑world AI applications for clinical use, including within the electronic health record.
• Data visualization, report and manuscript preparation.

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• At least one year of experience in research and analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience.
• At least one year of experience with Python programming.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork.

• Apply ML and AI methods for analysis of health‑related data.
• Collect and compile data from electronic health records, local sources, and national databases.
• Develop and train ML/AI models on modern cloud platforms, including generative and predictive AI systems.
• Create multimodal data environments and support infrastructure for secure real‑world AI application deployment.
• Participate in a larger research team to analyze outcomes in medical diagnostics, treatment, hospital operations, and healthcare administration.
• Statistically analyze data, performing calculations such as mean, median, standard deviation, scatter plots, multiple regression, and other statistical computations.
• Edit research papers, project reports, proposals, and curriculum materials prior to publication or presentation.

• Bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science, liberal arts, or a related field, or equivalent.
• One year of experience in research and analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience.
• Human relations and effective communication skills.

• Master's or Doctoral Degree related to data science or health analytics.
• Experience with large language models, ML/AI architectures (e.g., deep learning, GBM, RF).
• Experience with Epic integration (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle, Slicer Dicer, FHIR, HL7).
• Familiarity with biostatistics (preferred but not required).
