IT Security Specialist (IAM & Migration Consultant)
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist (IAM & Migration Consultant) to lead enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives, including authentication platform migration, identity modernization, and secure access management. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IAM technologies, authentication protocols, and enterprise migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current authentication systems and identity infrastructure.
- Design and execute IAM migration strategies and implementation plans.
- Configure and support Ping One Advanced Identity Cloud and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
- Implement and validate Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
- Migrate legacy authentication platforms, including Forge Rock/OpenAM.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Develop technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide post-migration support and ensure secure authentication services.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementation and migration.
- Strong experience with IAM platforms including Ping One Advanced Identity Cloud and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
- Hands-on experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
- Experience with Forge Rock/OpenAM migration, IAM migration, and enterprise authentication migration projects.
- Strong understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO), authentication, and identity federation.
- Experience with authentication architecture, Ping One configuration, Entra , and security best practices.
- Ability to create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Government or public sector experience.
- Experience with enterprise IAM modernization initiatives.
- Experience working in hybrid identity environments.
- Security certifications are a plus.
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens preferred (per client requirement).
