This position is located with Business Operations, Chief Information Office. The Chief Information Office (CIO) develops and manages the Information Technology (IT) systems, applications, operating environments, and resources for USDA's Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) Mission Area, which includes the Forest Service.

Specialized Experience Requirement:For the GS-15:
- Developing policy, standards, and guidelines related to the development and support of information technology (IT) systems and services; and/or
- Providing guidance on the impact of policy decisions or proposed regulation changes on information technology (IT) delivery; and/or
- Monitoring the effectiveness and delivery of information technology (IT) services to customers, including gaining consensus on schedules, priorities, and funding for the delivery of supported systems; and/or
- Providing analysis and development of appropriate cost-sharing models and mechanisms, full cost methodologies, and consumption data; and/or
- Delivering reliable counsel on the impact of important policy choices, proposed legislation or regulatory changes on IT delivery, capital planning, budget, or workforce levels, and their influence on program objectives.
