Global Supply Chain Manager - Rock Tools
Location: Based in North America or South America.
Travel Requirements: Occasional domestic and international travel as required to support manufacturing sites, regional inventory operations, and cross-functional planning activities.
Job OverviewThe Global Supply Chain Manager - Rock Tools is responsible for aligning demand, supply, and inventory strategies to optimize service levels, inventory investment, and margin performance for the Rock Tools product line. This role partners closely with Regional Inventory Managers, Go To Market Leaders, Sales, Operations, SIOPs teams, and manufacturing facilities to proactively manage constraints, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure execution against demand plans.
The role plays a critical part in driving data‑driven decision making and cross‑functional alignment across the Drilling Products business.
The Global Supply Chain Manager - Rock Tools will oversee end‑to‑end supply planning and inventory optimization activities in support of commercial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Work in conjunction with Regional Inventory Managers, Go To Market Leaders, and manufacturing facilities to optimize inventory levels, improve fill rates, and balance working capital with service expectations.
- Partner with Operations and SIOPs teams to monitor demand and supply alignment and develop actionable plans to ensure supply resources meet demand plans.
- Collaborate with the Sales organization to develop weekly forecasts, conduct deep‑dive reviews on demand variability, and address constraints impacting order fulfillment.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve order restrictions, supply constraints, and material availability issues that impact customer commitments and revenue realization.
- Support market analytics and margin optimization initiatives, including product mix analysis, demand trends, and supply trade‑off evaluations.
- Provide timely, accurate data and insights to inform business decisions and support planning forums and leadership reviews.
- Drive cross‑functional communication and accountability to ensure alignment between supply chain execution and commercial priorities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, planning processes, and forecasting accuracy.
- Own dashboards and reporting tools that provide real‑time visibility on inventory and operational KPIs across regions and product lines.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory turnover, excess & obsolete, and working capital optimization.
- Take the lead in resolving exceptions and change requests within the frozen planning window, including expediting critical orders, adjusting inventory levels, and addressing root causes with cross‑functional teams.

- Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Optimization:
Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management principles within a manufacturing environment. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively with Sales, Operations, Finance, SIOPs, and Manufacturing teams to drive alignment and results. - Analytical & Data‑Driven Decision Making:
Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable plans. - Commercial & Margin Awareness:
Understanding of how supply chain decisions impact margin, pricing, and customer outcomes. - Problem Solving & Constraint Management:
Proven ability to identify risks, constraints, and gaps and drive mitigation plans. - Communication & Influence:
Clear, concise communicator capable of influencing without direct authority. - Execution Focus:
Strong follow‑through and accountability to deliver against plans and commitments.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, SIOPs, or operations within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered products environment.
