To support that, we’re hiring a highly organized and financially savvy operator to join our team. This person will own our financial infrastructure, streamline operations, and help prepare the company to take on investment.

This role reports directly to the CEO, and will take over financial leadership responsibilities from a departing financial services consultant. The right candidate is part Controller, part FP&A lead, part business systems architect. Someone who can own the numbers, build dashboards, and improve company-wide processes that help the business scale.

You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and reporting, while also creating better systems for how departments operate and report on performance. You’ll be a critical partner to the CEO.

This role works in person and in our South Salt Lake City office. This position is not open to remote candidates.

• Own all aspects of financial management: P&L, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, margin tracking, debt servicing, etc.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, replacing the outgoing consultant.
• Manage and coordinate work from bookkeepers and CPA; ensure books are clean and reconciled.
• Own daily, monthly, quarterly and annual housekeeping tasks like bill pay, sales tax submission, payroll processing, LLC filings, insurance correspondence etc.

• Create and maintain real-time dashboards to track business health across sales, margin, cash, ops KPIs.
• Establish and standardize meaningful metrics for each department.
• Design and automate reporting systems using Quick Books, Google Sheets, and Hub Spot integrations.

• Evaluate and improve the company’s current workflows and systems across departments.
• Implement and train teams on improved SOPs for repeatability and scale.
• Monitor compliance in sensitive document flows (e.g. vehicle sales, regulatory filings).

• Serve as a financial and operational thought partner to the CEO.
• Help leadership make informed, timely decisions with accessible, accurate data.
• Take on high-leverage special projects, especially those tied to growth or exit planning.

• 5–10+ years in finance, FP&A, or operations leadership, ideally in a growing manufacturing or product-based business.
• Experience owning company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong command of Quick Books Online, Google Sheets, Hub Spot, and dashboard tools.
• Hands-on experience with due diligence, investor/lender reporting, or transaction support is a strong plus.
• Deep systems thinker with a high attention to detail and process orientation.

• Competitive base salary range of $70,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience
• $200 per month after-tax reimbursement toward individual health insurance through Van Craft’s ICHRA benefit (eligibility begins after 60 days)

• This is a full-time, in-person role based at Van Craft’s South Salt Lake City office
• Regular on-site presence is required to collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams
• Occasional work-related travel may be required
