Job OverviewThe Quality Inspector performs activities related to quality assurance including, but not limited to:
Inspection of components and finished goods, completing associated documentation, and support of other quality-related activities.
- Visual inspection, measurement, and functional testing of components and finished assemblies
- Perform other inspection activities as needed for process validations
- Document nonconformances when defects are identified
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- General document review, scanning, and filing of quality records
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience performing inspections in a medical device manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Knowledge of the application of sampling techniques
- Knowledge of good documentation practices in a regulated environment
- Ability to apply basic quality tools for problem-solving and improvement
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply a high level of attention to detail and work independently or as a team
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment and follow gowning procedures, hairnet usage, and appropriate PPE requirements.
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to use gauges and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, pin gauges, etc.
- Ability to follow controlled quality document instructions when performing tasks
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
This position will be based at our site in Salt Lake City, UT, with no travel.
