Overview Responsibilities
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a job-shop environment
- Strong knowledge of machine setup and handling large parts
- Ability to import and run programs, with a basic working understanding of G-code
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and maintain a positive attitude
- Horizontal boring mills
- Vertical lathes with live tooling
- 5-axis gantry mill (bed sizes measured in feet, not inches)
- Utilizing a crane to place parts
- Dialing in parts that are hundreds to thousands of pounds
- Additional smaller horizontal lathes and mills for support equipment
- Mostly Fanuc controls throughout the shop
- Gibbs CAM programming
- Dedicated programmers available (CAM experience not required)
- Type of Work
- Large-scale machining, as well as small and medium-sized components
- Heavy industrial and mining applications
