About UsArbor and Ore is a high-end, residential custom cabinetry shop known for craftsmanship, precision technology, and exceptional quality. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a skilled and detail‑driven leader to oversee our panel processing department.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a Panel Processing Production Manager to lead and manage a two-person team consisting of a CNC operator and an edgebander operator. The ideal candidate has hands‑on CNC experience, a background in high‑end custom cabinetry, and a strong understanding of panel processing workflows.
This role is essential to ensuring efficient throughput, consistent quality, and smooth day-to-day operations within our panel processing area. Responsibilities include verifying materials, ensuring cut parts meet dimensional and quality standards, and organizing carts effectively for downstream production.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the panel processing team (CNC + edgebander).
- Coordinate and schedule production to maintain efficient workflow and meet deadlines.
- Review cut lists, material requirements, and production documents for accuracy.
- Ensure all output meets the standards required for luxury residential cabinetry.
- Troubleshoot machinery, programming issues, and quality concerns as they arise.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth transitions between departments.
- Train team members on equipment, processes, and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- High‑end cabinetry or millwork background required.
- CNC experience preferred (programming, nesting, setup).
- Experience with panel saws, edgebanders, and other panel‑processing equipment is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and detailed cut lists.
- Knowledge of laminate, veneer, melamine, and specialty panel materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to fine craftsmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and production‑related issues.
- Previous team leadership or production management experience is highly valued.
