OverviewResponsible for supporting the manufacturing team in producing products according to customer demand. This includes assisting in the creation, correction, and interpretation of drawings, BOMs, routings, and transactions, as well as leading projects as necessary. The Manufacturing Engineer will improve the business by contributing, supporting, and implementing ideas to enhance processes and practices for the manufacturing value stream. This role requires leading by example to foster a positive culture, ensuring a safe work environment, exhibiting honesty, and respecting others at all times.
(Kaizen experience with a continuous improvement mindset is required, as this person will serve as the KPO)

- Develop repeatable, safe processes in production.
- Ensure vendor quality in collaboration with purchasers.
- Lead and support the implementation of new and updated designs into production.
- Create quality testing and first articles with supply chain and production teams.
- Oversee and participate in maintenance systems to ensure strong equipment uptime.
- Assist with training systems and methodology.
- Complete manufacturing routings promptly and accurately.
- Respond to production issues immediately (stop and fix).
- Ensure high‑quality parts meet specifications and standards.
- Oversee internal and external quality certifications (e.g., ISO, training).
- Assist production in eliminating warranty and quality issues.
- Lead or assist in key manufacturing‑related projects.
- Utilize metrics and visual management systems to improve performance.
- Train and develop new skills and processes for team members.
- Confirm the sustainment of standardized countermeasures/best practices.
- Participate in improvement events.
- Escalate personnel issues to management or HR as necessary.
- Required
Education:
4‑year degree in Production, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or 10 years of proven engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. - 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3D drawings and improvement projects.
- Expertise in 5S, waste elimination, and lean principles.
- Ability to use CAD, Solid Works, and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 certifications.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action problem‑solving skills.
- Adaptability to frequent changes and continual learning.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- CAD, Solid Works, ERP, and maintenance software.
- Machinery, equipment, and measuring tools.
- Forklift operation as required.
- Exposure to production shop conditions with mechanical equipment, fumes, and irritants.
- Proper safety attire is mandatory.
- Physical demands include sitting, walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
