Work Order Administrator
Department: Production
Location: Salt Lake City
This role works closely with the Operations, Quality Team, and Customer Service to improve operations and ensure that Work Orders are completed in an efficient manner and all other needs are fulfilled for the success of those Work Orders.
Responsibilities- Owns the Production Work Order from Documentation to reporting.
- Analyze Production Work Orders Actual v. Standard.
- Report on Work Order results at completion and approve for closing.
- Partner with Operations to collect production data pertaining to each Work Order.
- Assist in developing workflows to get data into JDE Work Orders consistently.
- Assist the Quality Team with Work Order Reviews for both the Secondary and Primary processes.
- Work with Team leads and operators to report material usage variances, and scrap for each work order.
- Reconcile the WIP account.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost reduction through Production Work Order variances.
- If required, find and collect additional product retains for Customer Service.
- Be able to work with Team leads and Operators through Constructive Feedback to improve Process Flow and understanding of set processes.
- Other Duties as deemed Necessary.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing production line facility.
- Minimum High School Education or equivalent.
- Basic math, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to follow GMP and SOP guidelines.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions to perform daily tasks efficiently and independently.
- Bi-lingual Preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear any required PPE such as hair net, lab coat, and facemask.
- Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator.
- Ability to work above shoulders.
- Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement.
- Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours.
- Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
