EASA Accredited Shop

Build it. Rewind it. Bring it back to life.

Energy Management Corporation (EMC) is looking for a hands‑on Electric Motor Winder to join our Salt Lake City shop. If you take pride in working with your hands, understand how motors work, and like seeing a job through from teardown to test run—this is your craft.

We’ve been in business for over 45 years, keeping industry moving by repairing and rebuilding motors, drives, and generators. This is real shop work—no shortcuts, no fluff.

What You’ll Do
  • Tear down, inspect, and rewind AC/DC electric motors and electro‑mechanical equipment
  • Prep motors for rewind: strip, clean, burn out, and rebuild
  • Wind coils, cut and form wire, and install insulation systems
  • Run and operate shop equipment (winding machines, surge testers, ovens, grinders, etc.)
  • Assist experienced winders and continue building your skillset
  • Read job cards, follow specs, and hit quality standards every time
  • Help test and troubleshoot finished motors
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Handle heavy components and get the job done right
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in motor winding or electrical/mechanical repair (or strong apprenticeship background)
  • Solid mechanical ability—you know your way around tools and equipment
  • Basic understanding of motor components and electrical theory
  • Can read schematics and follow technical instructions
  • Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
  • Willing to learn, work hard, and take pride in your craft
  • Team player who shows up ready to work
Physical Work
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Working with your hands all day
  • Standing, reaching, and moving equipment
  • Focused on detail work that requires precision
What You Get
  • Steady, full‑time work (Day & Swing shifts available)
  • Life & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with 3% company match
  • Paid Time Off + Holidays
  • A shop that values skill, effort, and quality work
Why EMC

This isn’t assembly line work. This is skilled rebuild work. Every motor is different. Every job takes attention, experience, and pride. If you like working with your hands and seeing a finished product you can stand behind—you’ll fit here.
