Bridor USA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Inspector to join our production team in Salt Lake City.
The Production Inspector plays an important role in ensuring products meet established specifications and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This position visually inspects products on the production line, identifies deviations from established standards, and works closely with Production and Quality Assurance to address concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Visually inspect products throughout the production process to ensure they meet established specifications.
- Use product conformity guides and established standards to evaluate in-process and finished products.
- Monitor product appearance, size, shape, and overall conformity.
- Inspect formed raw dough to ensure established specifications are being followed.
- Identify and report product deviations or specification concerns to the Production Supervisor, Operator, and other appropriate team members.
- Immediately report foreign material, dirt, debris, or other potential food safety concerns.
- Communicate quality and food safety deviations to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with sanitation activities during production shutdowns or plant downtime.
- Follow all company safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous production, inspection, or quality experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product inconsistencies.
- Ability to follow written specifications, procedures, and conformity standards.
- Ability to communicate issues clearly and promptly.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and BRC/BRCGS standards preferred.
- Work is performed in a food manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to cold temperatures, production noise, and flour.
- Ability to safely navigate stairs, ladders, and lifts as required.
