Production Assembly

Production – Suits members bring sewing, cutting and repair skills to produce lifesaving dive equipment. Members of the Production – Suits team are responsible for all activities related to bare repairs and modified stock dry suits and making repairs to used dry suits that are covered under warranty. The position is responsible for ensuring the suits are built and repaired on time while maintaining focus on quality.

• Meet product deadlines with the help of the team and department manager.
• Make modifications to stock dry suits according to customer requests and ensure the team completes modifications in time to meet promised delivery dates.
• Perform tests on used dry suits and wetsuits to determine work to be completed.
• Repair wetsuits and dry suits with glue, sewing and other skills to ensure a proper seal.
• Meet Huish Outdoors's quality standards.
• Manage product identification and inventory tracking.
• Adhere to proper shipping procedures.
• May cross‑train with Production – Zeagle team in the manufacturing of buoyancy control devices (BCD's).
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of related work experience or experience in a production environment.
• 1–2 years’ experience working with fabrics, including neoprene.
• 1–2 years’ experience with inspection, cutting, gluing, and garment repair.
• Proficient ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Strong organization and prioritization abilities; detail oriented and control minded.
• Able to lift 30 lbs. consistently.
• Travel expectations: 0%.
• Physical activities:
  Standing for long periods at a time. Able to use hands with dexterity holding fabric. Subject to strong odors of glue and neoprene. Eye/hand coordination required.

Full-time, 8‑4 pm M‑F. Salary: $18.75 per hour.
