Job Description & How to Apply Below

We're looking for a Safety Coordinator to join a manufacturing team in Salt Lake City, UT, where safety isn't a checkbox — it's a core value built into every shift. This is a Monday-Friday role with a consistent daytime schedule, giving you the stability to do meaningful compliance and culture-building work without the unpredictability of rotating shifts. If you have hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing environment and want a role where your work directly protects people, this one is worth a close look.

What

You'll Do
  • Implement and maintain site-specific safety and environmental programs in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Conduct employee safety training, environmental awareness programs, and emergency response drills
  • Investigate workplace accidents and injuries — identify root causes and drive corrective actions
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct hazards before they become incidents
  • Manage the SDS program, including reviewing new chemical products and ensuring affected employees are trained on safe handling
  • Collaborate with supervisors to complete job hazard analyses and PPE assessments
  • Support hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including proper disposal and regulatory recordkeeping
  • Assist with Workers' Compensation program coordination and incident reporting
  • Champion facility-wide sustainability efforts including recycling, waste minimization, and pollution prevention
What You Bring Required
  • Associate's degree in a related field (Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or similar)
  • At least 1 year of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA regulations
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 30-Hour certification, RCRA Hazardous Waste training, and DOT Hazardous Materials certification
  • Must be a U.S. Person — this position supports a Department of Defense contractor and visa sponsorship is not available
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • Prior experience conducting regulatory training and presenting to mixed audiences
  • Familiarity with industrial hygiene programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Schedule & Shift

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overtime required as business needs arise. Must be available to respond to safety emergencies outside of standard hours when necessary.
